Employer Services

Employer Services will serve as the primary contact for employers on all questions regarding member and employer enrollment and contribution reporting. Employer Services Representatives will assist employers with transitioning to a new reporting system and perform regular audits of employer enrollment and contribution information to ensure accurate reporting. Employer Services Representatives will assist employers regarding correct member data, sick leave participation and reporting, payroll and personnel reporting requirements, time deadlines and required documentation submission, proper member retirement tier assignment, class assignment and contribution payment type, as well as provide information on plan program eligibility, and membership rights and obligations.

  • You can access the production site at the following link: https://ess.rsa-al.gov. Remember – the username and password for the Portal Administrator will copy over from the test site. For those employers who downloaded the voluntary certificate to bypass the F5 log-in screen, please note that you will need to use Internet Explorer or Chrome browsers for access.
  • For training and more information, use the Employer Self-Service (ESS) Training page to view Computer-Based Training (CBTs) videos regarding the Employer Portal.
  • Training for the ESS Portal will be located on the Additional ESS Training page. The training page gives more detail on the file formats, quick tips, and training simulations.
